The CTH Level 1 in English Communication for Tourism and Hospitality QCF is designed to provide candidates with a range of communication and study skills and prepare them for an effective academic progression route.

Aims of the qualification
The aims are to provide a qualification that:
- provides students with a range of communication and study skills that can be used both in academia and in a vocational context
- provides for an effective academic progression route
- provides for an entry route into the tourism and hospitality industry
The entry requirements below are intended for guidance only as applicants may apply with a wide variety of backgrounds and qualifications.
CTH accredited centres will assess all applicants to ensure they are able to meet the demands of the course.
Recommended entry requirements
Completed full time secondary or high school education up to age 16.
Exemptions: Contact College.
Fees: Fees on application. Fees must be paid at the time of enrolment. Additional fee : books, membership to awarding body and examinations. Fees once paid are non-refundable.

i.e. a total of 39 credits

Total = 39 = 150
Annual fees for the courses are payable at the time of enrolment. All fees are for one academic session, and not refundable. The fees include the costs of the teaching and internal examinations. The fees do not, however, cover the cost of books, stationery, handouts or the cost of external examinations.
